PSAJ 2017 Spring Conference / Call for Papers (Open-theme Sessions)
The Peace Studies Association of Japan is now calling for papers for the coming 2017 Spring Conference.
Dates and Place: July 1st (Sat.) and 2nd (Sun.) at Hokkaido University in Sapporo City
(Although the official program of the 2017 Spring Conference will be decided in January 2017, the open –theme sessions are usually scheduled in the morning hours of the first day of the conference. It is recommended to reserve hotel rooms in Sapporo City in advance for there are not many vacancies.)
<Qualifications>
To present your paper, you have to be a registered member of the PSAJ (All the speakers, commentators and moderators of the package proposal are also required to be the registered members). If you are not currently a member, you can still submit a paper on the condition that your registration application form has been received by the time your submission.
As a general rule, if you have made an oral presentation at any session of the PSAJ Conferences in the last two years (since 2015 Spring Conference), you are not qualified to submit your paper for 2017 Spring Conference.

1 Individual Presentation
Please send the following information to the chairperson of the Program Committee by post or by e-mail; Applicant’s name, profession and affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses, title of the presentation, abstract of the presentation (within 600 words), and the year/ season (spring or fall) of the last oral presentation at the PSAJ session.
2 Package Proposal
Please send the following information to the chairperson of the Program Committee by post or by e-mail: Name of the contact person, profession and affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses, theme and the purpose of the proposed package session, names of the presenters, commentators and chairperson, abstract of the presentation (within 600 words), and the year/ season (spring or fall) of the last oral presentation at the PSAJ session by all the presenters. When the proposal is accepted, the Program Committee might ask some changes if necessary.
Deadline
Friday, January 6th , 2017 (Application should reach the Program Committee by January 6th)
Schedule of Review and the Announcement of the Results
The results of the review by the Program Committee will be announced to all the applicants in February 2017.
